Hello everyone,

It was a good weekend! Still very cool! Snow is still flying in the hills.

The photo is of a large sleeper truck. Many trucks are of this size in Canada ans the US! Truckers can pull over and sleep anywhere. Much ,much larger than trucks in Japan. Of course the roads are much wider here. In the counrty and cities.

Makaiya was eating a Maki roll. Maki was eating a Maki. Ha HA!

Hi everyone,

I was working at a local ski hill at the end of last week. Big White! Of course it snowed when I was up there. My work van is old and of course the heater is breaken. Yes it was cold.

I played golf on Saturday with my dad. We have not played so much this year so it was funto play with him. I shot a 89! Not the best score.

I had to work on Sunday back at Big White for a few hours. For dinner we had BBQ burgers. Yummmmm!!! They tasted so good! Even in the winter we BBQ here!

Oct, 12 update

Hi!,

This past weekend was the Canadaian Thanks Giving celebration. My parents and brother with his family came to our house to have the Famous Turkey dinner. Everybody brought a dish to add to the meal. My brother Rick's wife Michelle's mom made 3 pies. Pumpkin, prune and lemon marange. Chrissy made lemon cheese cake! We all ate too much.

Other good news is my brother Rick and Michelle have a new baby boy. Michelle gave birth last thursday! I bought Rick some cigars. It is a custom to smoke a cigar when a baby boy is born. I am not sure why? Rick , my dad and myself went for a walk after dinner and smoked one each. I bought chocolate flavored ones, so they were sweet when we smoked them. After we all had that smokey taste in our mouths that lasted till the next day. Yuck!!!!!

It is raining here and is cool. No snow but cool!

I hope you are all doing well.

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well!

I have heard it is suppose to snow in Calgary tomorrow. I hope it does and it stays so we can have a great Fall camp.

The one test I saw my friend Gary Whittaker do was the big box test over 90 seconds. He did 102 during that time. Very good power. He did not do all the tests because he had other commitments. I believe he missed the endurance beep test.

I hope you are all pushing hard for your goals! You can do it!

September 15 Update

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would show you a more and more common Canadian house hold item. I home water cooler! It has a ice cold water dispencer and a hot water dispencer, for hot tea or cup a noodle. The total cost for the cooler and the water is about 2000 yen per month. We like it! The water is very good and has gone through reverse osmosis. Very convenient!

It is the local ski swap this weekend. People take thier old skis to the organized building and basicly price the ski equipement themslves. It is placed out in order of size. This is for boots and cloths as well. This process is done over 2 evenings. Thursday and Friday. The sale starts Friday night and goes through Saturday. The people that come to buy the skis pay a few dollars to get in to look at the equipement and search through all the equipement. There is alot of very old skis usually, but some newer items. The Kelowna ski club organizes the event. My friend Trevor is the head coach. He is going to look ahead of time for skis for Makaiya.

I will let you know how it goes.

Bye for now!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was another hot day in Kelowna. We did a little work around the house, mowed the lawn, vacumed the house and so on. Then we went for a walk with Makaiya, Bandit and my mom. We went to a trail called the Green way! It is a walking , biking horse back riding trail. It follows Mission creek and I believe is around
20 km long. I great place for exercise. Makaiya and I splashed around in the water for a little while.

Chrissy and I went to a Mexican party last night! There was Mexixan food, drinks and games! They also had a penyata. It hangs from a tree and you try to smash it open. There was chocolate and condons inside. It was fun!

I hope you all had a geat weekend too!

Cheers!

August 21 update

Hi Everyone,

What a great weekend! And a bad weekend! My cousin came to Kelowna from Vancouver for a golf weekend. He ended up breaking his ankle just before we played the first game! I felt so bad for him. Since he already paid for his golf tour he gave the rounds to me! So I was able to play Preditor Ridge golf club Saturday and Sunday. It is a very beautiful place. They plated The Skins Game there a few years a ago. Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickilson, I think VJ and Mike Wier played. It was a very difficult course! The greens were very difficult, fast and lots of different angles, the fairways at times very thin. I shot 94 both days! I had way too many 3 putts. I even had a 5 putt. It was the toughest course I have ever played! Very enjoyable though.

Hi everyone,

It rained finally last night! It has been so clear and hot for the last month and a half.

I thought I would show you the underground spinkler sytem at our house. It is very convenient. It even has a timing system to when they come on. Yes, they come on automatically. Miho told me they do not have any in Japan so I thought you all might think they are interesting!

Have a great day!

Oh, I have been getting up a little earlier than usual and am running before work! I like it! It starts my day right! When I wake up my first thought is to stay in bed but I get up and leave the house, right away. I start slow and as my body warms up I increase my pace. I stretch as soon as I return home. I am also doing my nightly situps still. Usually after Makaiya goes to bed. My life style is busy but I am using what time I have improve my life! I look at what my weak points are and push myself to strengthen them. I feel great! I hope you all can do the same in Ski racing and life. Lets move forward together, or as the slang is said lets kick ass!

More later!

PS My other weak point was writing my diary! I hope you are enjoying it!

Hi Everyone,

It was another hot day here in Kelowna! I finished the kitchen I told you about yesterday! It looked great! It is very fun putting them together and seeing the final result!

I had dinner tonight with my mom and brother. My mom is selling her condo. It is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and full kitchen. It also has a pool and underground parking.
She is selling it for $144 900! It must seem very cheap for you guys in Japan. If anyone wants to buy here in Kelowna please let me know!

Thats all for now!

Hi everyone,

I have been installing Cabinets every day so far. I will take a picture of what I have installed tomorrow!

I played 9 holes of golf yesterday. I shot 36 on a par 32 course. Not bad! I played with my dad, brother and his father inlaw. Yes, I beat them this time. On Tuesday and Wedensday It cost $12 only to play 9 holes. Hopefully we will do this every week.

Makaiya washed her fisrt plate on her own this morning. She liked it. She can do my dishes any time! Hee Hee! She is so good!

I just finished 105 situps! I hope you are all doing your nightly situps. As well as any other areas you personally need to work on. Good Luck! You can do it.

More soon!
