Dec, 15 Update

Hi Girls and Guys!

It was great to see many of you this past weekend! I am so impressed with your focus on the ski hill. All of you performed the basic drills very well! All were able to transfer balance solidly from foot to foot, and initial edging skills looked good too! Nice work!

Snow conditions here are getting better daily. Small amounts of natural snow are falling and it is cold so snow making machines are working daily. The free ski run and pole training runs #4 and #5 are open from top to bottom at Tsubakuro.

We set our first brush course of the season. Just on the flats. Tomorrow we will set GS on #5 from 10:30am. Free skiing will start before that from 8:30am.

I hope to see you soon.

Doug

Weekend Update

Hi!!!

I hope you are all well!

It was a good first week! The guests that were here did very well working on solid balance changes and sharp, early edging. Great work!

It did rain yesterday and froze last night! It will be very icy for tomorrows training so make sure those edges are sharp!

Those of you that have seasons tickets please go early to the main office to activate them for the season. It was very slow going today! It will be busier tomorrow because of the weekend volume and the Rossignol cup is also tomorrow. Good luck! Please drive carefully when you come here.

See you at Tsubakuro!

Doug

First fire of the year!

Hi All,

It feels like winter here finally. It has been abnormally warm till now. So Makaiya made our first fire of the winter season! We really love the feel that a fire adds to the room of our house!

Last weekend I went into the forest, (with a fire wood permit) and cut up dead trees for our fire wood. It took 2 full days to do this. We should have enough for the winter though.

It looks like many of you have been preparing for the up coming season. Great work!

I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Bye for now!

Japanese Family visit Canada

Hi All,

Last week we had my Family from Japan visit us. Machiko and Haruki Sato. It was very fun to have them stay with us. We all enjoyed our time together very much! We were able to get most of our Canadian family together to meet them in Kelowna. They also met with my other Canadian cousins in Vancouver! Always interesting to talk about our family history and the differences in our cultures!

Saturday night Home made pizza! Mochi?

Hi Guys and girls!

It was pizza night last night. Chrissy made the dough from scratch. I also made mochi with the mochi maker I bought last spring in Japan. I tried mixing the dough with mochi. Not bad for our first try. I think around 25%, 75% dough might be good? Next time. I hope you had a good weekend!

Bye for now.

Doug's Update

Hi All!!!

I am so sorry for my long awaited update!

I very happy to see many of you are training hard to become strong for next season! Great work! Please keep working hard! It will be worth the effort!

I have been very busy with my summer work. Not much time holidaying! Just a few days camping.

We have had a few forest fires in our area, so there is a lot of smoke. There was a full moon last night, which produces an orange moon. The moon photo's are from our deck in our back yard. I took them with ""Fuji Film, Fine PIX camera.

Rustic dinning room table!

Hi All!

So in my free time I have been working on a new dinning room table. It is 240 cm long and 105 cm wide. It was made from Birch wood, and Douglas Fir base. Chrissy and I like having friends over for home party's so it is perfect for that!

April 26 Update

Hi !

I have been busy here in Canada. Spending lots of time with Makaiya, Chrissy, family , and friends.

Today Makiaya and I played in a Junior , adult golf tournament. We did well! We shot 79 and finished 2nd. We had fun! Another tournament in the fall we hope to win that one!

Thank you for the great season!

Hello everyone!

Spring is here and the ski racing season for Accel Ski System has come to an end!

I am thrilled with the dedication and effort of our camp members! Great work Everyone! I have heard very good race results from our group as well! Congratulations to all!!!

I hope everyone in our group sets high goals for the future! We are what we think! If you set low goals you will not go beyond that. See, think and feel what you want! It might as well be some thing Special! You can do it!

The following seasons are for preparation for the next ski season. Great ski technique alone will not take you to top levels. If you are the fastest and strongest you will have a huge advantage over other competitors! If you are not that fast or strong now that does not mean you can not change! It is hard work but it will take you to new higher levels! Do your BEST!

Thank you all for choosing Accel Ski System !

This is a picture of last days training! Cold!!!
