Saturday Training

It was a super day! Sunny, cool, focused racers! Nice! We did have a struggle with line today. I set an easy GS and most skied it too straight! Ugly hole ruts formed after the gate. UGH! Hopefully that will be fixed tomorrow!

Sl was bad The snow is very soft so the gates loosened quickly. We switched to brushes part way through the session.

I look forward to tomorrow! See you then!

GS / Combi trianing!

HI!!

It was a good day! GS and Combi today! I am very proud of the racers efforts. I am always so impressed with everyone's drive to get better! We are really working on powering the ski. That, as well as balancing on it.

GS only tomorrow. Mostly English speakers. Should be fun!

The snow slightly better. Still slightly soft!

See you soon!

February 19 Update

Hi guys and girls!

It was a good day of training on #6. GS set at 28m . We have a racer here preparing for the national race. We feel the set will be around that interval. The snow was again compact. A small rut formed but nothing too big.

A couple of new kids skied today. Good skiers!

More racers are arriving tonight. I think around 10 will be skiing.

The weekend should be good! See you soon!

GS training on Tuesday

Hi !

It has been a little while since we have trained. Nice to be back out on the hill!

The snow was surprisingly compact. I thought it would be very soft after all of the snow fall lately! The wind has really helped out.

I would like to take this time to thank everyone for the awesome season so far! I appreciate you all very much! Train and Race hard, but be safe!

Heavy snow fall weekend! Good team work!

That was a crazy weekend! Lots of snow, wind, and worry! I am relieved that it went with out major incident! We had our struggles to get everyone home safely, but for the unusual conditions, smooth. It did take some planning and team work from Everyone. Thanks as always to Matsura San and his family of Hotel Zontag! Always very generous with time and effort!

Monday here is still unsettled! Roads still closed, so to travel by road is still not a good option. Baggage services are not operational due to the road problems. Hope fully it will all be settled soon!

Be safe!

Pictures are of preparation to drive some guests to Takasaki eki from Sugadaira!

Saturday training cancelled! Too much snow!

Hi guys and girls!!

As you know the snow fall in Japan has made travel hazardous, and Tsubakuro was also unable to open! Too much snow! Saturdays training is cancelled!

I have heard some skiers are planning to come tomorrow. We will have training as usual on Sunday. This plan may change because of weather conditions! Please be careful if you do come!

Bye for now.

Exciting day!!!!!!

It was a strange day today! We set the GS and SL courses as usual, skied a few runs, then it HAPPENED! The lift broke down!!! Many skiers had to be assisted off the chair lift. Takumi, and Yui were the lucky ones in the group!!! They made it safely to the ground by the way!

We took the morning session off, had lunch and trained at Omatsu yama. GS! It was good!

Hopefully Tsubakuro will be up and running tomorrow! GS is planned for training. If Tsubakuro is closed we will go to Omatsu yama again!

Still cold here! Bring warm clothing if you are coming this weekend!

SL /GS training # 6,5

Hi!!!

Finally a good stretch of weather! Still cold though! No problem. Better than cold, snow and wind!

It was a mixed group skiing GS and SL . A quick set up. Nice work group! Always challenging coaching 2 courses at once but I managed. The group did well! I am thrilled with the level of effort!

Takumi and I went to Omatsu yama this afternoon. We got a ride in a new Subaru XV up and down Omatsu yama! Super fun! The driver was a pro so we drove super fast!!!!!!!!

GS tomorrow on # 6. Still lots of guys here!

See you soon!

Great! I lost all of the data on my camera! Sorry no pictures! More tomorrow!

GS Monday!

Hi Guys and Girls!!

It was a sunny day finally! It seems like it has been cold, and snowy for weeks!!!!! Only one week.

The snow was soft, but with that solid ice underneath it! With the larger size group we got down to the ice fast enough. We worked on the flats first, just to get the feel for moving powerfully from foot to foot! Then from 10:30 am we started from the steeps!

It was a good day! I am very happy with everyone's efforts ! A+!!!

See you soon!
