March 25 Update

Hello every one!

So yes, spring is here and the season is winding down. I feel happy I can soon go home to see my family but I also feel sad that I am not able to coach all of you and grow together! There have been good results and good improvements in Base technique. The more I coach the more I see how important it is that all of you need good base technique but just as important is how you place your selves in the world of ski racing. I hope you can all see yourselves as top competitors. If you see others as faster or stronger you will never over take them. When you walk on to the ski hill hold your head high, and know are a winner! A top competitor! Some one who is lucky and always finds a away to get the job done. I see that in all of you. I hope you can see that for your selves.

Bye for now.

March 18th Update

Hello everyone,

I am at Iwatake now. The Men just finished the DH race. Takahiro and Takanori both got points in the race. Shiyo and Isao also skied a good line and did great for their first DH.

I was Takairo`s last run today so by Tea Clipper Tradition he had to drink a bottle of Nihon Shu. Yes, he is passed out now. He and Chihiro did such a great job this season for Accel Ski System. We all appreciate their great effort.

Bye for Now!

March 12 Update

hello everyone,

Well spring is here at Sugadaira! The last 2 days have been very hot! nice for a change.

Osaka, Totari, and Seikei Universities are here now. It has been a busy week. Chrissy and Makaiya also returned home to Canada on Monday. We talked the next day and they arrived home safe . They are missing one bag though.

We have been skiing from 8:30 to 12:30 only for the past few days. That is when the snow is the best.

It is my vision to have more of Accel guests win and be in the top 3 in all races. I hope you all have great expectations of your selves! If you believe you can do it, you can. Please keep thinking positively and do not limit your self. The details will fall into place!

I hope to see you soon.

Best Regards

Doug

It was fun!

This weekend looks to be a busy one. Many are preparing on Saturday for the race on Sunday!

Jan,22 Update

Hello,

So what motivates us to improve? We all need expectations . What do you expect from yourself? I expect that I answer any questions you have about ski racing. So you have no doubts. When I was younger, I had questions about line , and technique. Coaches could answer my questions sometimes. BUT sometimes I would not ask a question about a certain point. I did not give my coaches a chance to answer it. SO I continued to miss opportunity to improve. Please ask me questions if you have any!!!!!! I wish I had someone that could answer my questions when I had them!

PLease set high goals for yourself! Expect great things! Focus on those things. Negative will bring more negative. Keep your eyes and mind on your prize!

I expect you all do that!

See you soon !

Dec,20 Update

Hello,

What a great morning! We are skiing GS today. The condition are very good. Tsubakuro has the Champion course open that is runs 4,5,6. The free ski run is also open and they are working on 1,2,3. I am pushing the ski area to use #6 for the weekend. Free skiing and GS gates are planned.

We have all been working hard on doing basic position training. I am happy to see how all want to improve in this area. Which you should. Once you all can do this you will be able to ski faster in the course and have a bigger chance to win.

The pictures are from Canada. Makaiya went to an out side Birthday party.

Bye for now.

Dec, 14 Update

Hi!!

It was a great week for basic training . All that came did very well!

It was a warm week and it even rained yesterday. It did cool down a little bit, so the snow was a little icy.

They were also able to make snow today. That is very much needed.

I am looking forward to another weekend of basic training!

See you all soon!

Sugadaira update

Hi!

I am settling in here. Getting some tune up work done and so on.

It has been great skiing during the week of course not many other people on the hill. What snow there is , is very good! And just so you know it is suppose to cool off for the weekend so sharpen up those skis.

I am very happy with everyones drive to get the basics grooved into their technique. That is what we want. Lets all expect great results for the season. Expect you will win! Or finish in the top ten.
Picture me as your fairy god father and ask me what you want and I will give it to you!!!! Just ask! I believe in every one of you!

See you soon

First weekend update

Hello Every one!

I was very surprised to see over 20 people here for the first weekend! It was good training. We all worked on Basic position on the skis. Stacking, edging from the ankles, light pressure. All pretty much accomplished the goal of stacking! It was pretty to see!! Great job to those who came. All drills were done at very slow speed.. That is very important for position correction!

It is also nice to see the friendly staff of Zonntaggu! I am looking forward to watching you all improve to new levels of ski racing! Believe and see your new found success!

Bye for now.
