Sept, 10 Update

Hi!

So I went to the Kelowna city dump yesterday and stepped on a nail that went right in my foot. It bleed very much. I went to a clinic and the doctor saw it was already infected. he then sent me to emergency at the hospital. They ended up giving me IV antibiotics and painkillers. I had to return tonight for another IV. My foot is better today so they are putting me on oral antibiodics. It is still a little soar but hopefully it heels fast.

Bye for now.

Sept ,7 Update

Hello,

It was a great day! Played golf at 7:10 am. I did play to my planned game plan. I struck the ball very well. I felt very relaxed with most shots and trusted my swing. On some shots I did try to swing a little hard and that is when I miss hit shots. Again trying to hard to hit the ball with more power. My short fall was definitely my putting. I did not have a very good feel for speed. So I ended up shooting a 90 again. I had 10 3 putts. That really stank!

After golf, Chrissy , Makaiya, Tajanna, and Sabastien went up to Big White. That is the ski hill where my mom lives. I made some counter tops for a friend of Chrissy's who is renewing her condo. I installed them , we went for a hike, and had dinner after.

Bye for now.

Sept, 6 Update

Hello Everyone,

So today I picked up my new Dell XPS note book. Finally. Last ski season I had a Dell Latitude that broke part way through the season. Well finally Dell came htrough and replaced. With 3 year World wide warranty. That will be nice to have while I am Japan.

I am playing golf tomorrow at the the Okanagan club on the Quail course. Yes, this is the game I bought for $ 9.30 per person, with a cart. It was a misprint, but the golf course honoured the price. So I have been practising golf this summer and have improved my game. What I feel is important in improved performance is trusting your technique and play relaxed. If I try too hard to make a shot I feel tight and often miss the shot. If I feel relaxed and loose I often make the shot I visualize. My goal tomorrow is to play loose and let the shot I see happen without trying too hard and feeling tight. I will let you know how it goes. Last week I shot a 89. Not quite what I wanted.

Bye for now.

Sept, 2 Update

Hi everyone,

Well, I played golf on Sunday and Monday for free!!!!! It was great! I did not play that well but made some good shots. Shot 90 on Sunday. 89 on Monday. Like I said not so good. This Sunday I also got a cheap rate. Yes, $9.70 per person. Nice!

The weather is starting to get cool here. In the evening getting down to around 2 degrees C. I feel this is going to be a good season for early snow! That is my dream anyway!

I am working on a huge house now. I will probably be working on this one all week.

Tajanna's boy friend is staying with us now. He had to move out of his place so we invited him to stay with us. They are leaving for Norway at the beginning of October. Tajanna is excited.

More soon.

Well it was my birthday yesterday. Yup, 25 years old!! I had my family over for dinner. It was nice. We had steak , prawns, and scallops. With a spinach salad ,and yummy potatoes.

I was so grateful for the gifts I received. I got a new pair of golf shoes and a new 3 wood. A Talormade burner! Looks Nice. I will tell you how it works for me. I have been using a web site called Golf B.C. to book tee times. This weekend I found one that cost $9.30 per person with a cart. Unbelievable!!!! The course is a high end course. One of the best in Kelowna. It is called the Okanagan club. There are 2, 18 hole courses there. I will let you know how I shoot.

August 17 Update

Hi again,

So our new gates are up! In the past they were in the back corner of the house. This time we put them at the front of the house. It gives an extra storage space for secure parking. If we sell our house it would be a great extra if the next owners had a boat or an RV.

Chrissy and I have done all the work on our home this spring. Well Except for the gutters on the house, and making the gates. We saved alot of money.

More later!

August 17 Update

I took some pictures at an accident on our way home from camping. Every one in the accident was ok. lots of damage to the cars though.

August 15 Update

Hello everyone,

It has been such a busy summer. Lots of hard work and fun!

My back yard is coming together nicely. The new grass is coming in. I custom ordered 3 cedar gates. We stained them last night. Chrissy will do the detail staining today while I am at work. They look very nice so far.

I have been doing my best to stay active and exercise. I have been cycling and stretching after to work and my legs. There is a new road that goes up a hillside east of kelowna. At the top of the road there is a new golf course. The view from up there is outstanding. Of coursea good work out. around 30 minutes of hill climbing. Hmmmmm I guess I should see how long it takes me! Next time.

Chrissy's sister and family have returned home. They were here for 3 weeks. They did stay at our house. That also kept us busy.

Well time for work.

Hello Every one,

This week there is an amateur golf tournament being played in Kelowna. It is called the Ogopogo open. Last night there was a dinner for it at the Kelowna Golf and country club. No I am not playing in it. I hope to in the future though. Unfortunately South western Canada had a big wind storm yesterday. The golf tournament had to be canceled. which is good , because many huge pine trees fell on the course. 10 trees to be exact .

July 8 Update

Good morning!

First, The weather conditions here in Kelowna has been great !!!!! Sunny and hot in the most part.

So as I said last time, I installed underground irrigation in my back yard. We did have it before but I ripped it up when I installed my sewer system last Fall. I had to wait to put the new sprinklers in because I knew I would be driving big trucks and trailers in the yard when I renewed our roof.

So now that the under ground irrigation is in again I can cover the lawn over with my special mixture of top soil, sand and Ogo grow. Ogo grow is a special natural fertilizer! Then sprinkle grass seed and water it. Hope fully soon after I will have a nice green lawn.

Enjoy the pictures. The three piles of material are the special mix.

Bye for now.

Last Thursday I played with one of the partners of the Kitchen company I work for. We played a mens night game. The cost is $45 for 18 holes. For some holes they have longest putt, and close to hole competitions. May, 15 Update

Hello Everyone,

So During the coaching summit we had many different speakers. One was Allison Forsythe, Canada's best Female, GS skier. She had been out with a knee injury for almost 2 years. She has gone through many depressing days . Although her attitude now is very positive. She is still planning a come back! She is very inspirational. Her work ethic is great! Never wasting any time. Always looking to learn from what seems like a negative. Which is true! Her knee may be weak now, but she has been working full speed on the parts of her body she can. Another good point is that everyday day she takes 30 minutes to do image training. She actually puts her boots on and sees her self skiing the course. Moving , balance changing feeling every thing. She did ski a little last summer. the coaches were amazed and said she never skied better. She believes you can maintain or even improve through image training. I also agree! See your self as if you are actually skiing . You can also practice looking ahead. See the slope, the gates the line you want to ski. Happy image skiing !!!

March 25 Update

Hello every one!

So yes, spring is here and the season is winding down. I feel happy I can soon go home to see my family but I also feel sad that I am not able to coach all of you and grow together! There have been good results and good improvements in Base technique. The more I coach the more I see how important it is that all of you need good base technique but just as important is how you place your selves in the world of ski racing. I hope you can all see yourselves as top competitors. If you see others as faster or stronger you will never over take them. When you walk on to the ski hill hold your head high, and know are a winner! A top competitor! Some one who is lucky and always finds a away to get the job done. I see that in all of you. I hope you can see that for your selves.

Bye for now.

Jan,22 Update

Hello,

So what motivates us to improve? We all need expectations . What do you expect from yourself? I expect that I answer any questions you have about ski racing. So you have no doubts. When I was younger, I had questions about line , and technique. Coaches could answer my questions sometimes. BUT sometimes I would not ask a question about a certain point. I did not give my coaches a chance to answer it. SO I continued to miss opportunity to improve. Please ask me questions if you have any!!!!!! I wish I had someone that could answer my questions when I had them!

PLease set high goals for yourself! Expect great things! Focus on those things. Negative will bring more negative. Keep your eyes and mind on your prize!

I expect you all do that!

See you soon !
