Makaiya is going to a Birthday party tomorrow at the YMCA. It is a indoor pool party.

Also there is snow in the hills! Yes, I hope the snow is even better than last year for the early season camp at Sun Peaks! I hope you are all able to prepare your muscles for the upcoming season. Make high goals for yourselves. What ever you dare to dream. Then do the effort to back it up!

Sept, 23 Update

Oh Boy! Sorry it has been a while since my last update!!!

My life has been kind of stressful! I have had to do my normal work, organize Tajanna for school, organize my items for digging our sewer line. I am so happy this past week is over. Oh Yeah, And my nieces birthday was yesterday and we had a big family dinner. The same day as my sewer dig. The dig went well. No big problems. And I did still make dinner!

Bye for now.

Sept, 15 Update

Hello!

I forgot to tell you about my Monday soccer game. I scored a goal and set up the other 2 goals. Yes, it was a fun game for me. I did hurt my knee a little so I think I will rest it this Monday. The next game is our last league game. The play offs are after that. The next game does not mean much so it is a good chance to rest.

So my excavator operator could not work this weekend. I will have to do my sewer connection next weekend. I hope the weather is like this weekend. 30 degrees C!

Bye for now!

Sept, 13, Update

Hello,

Sorry it has been a while since my last update. Things here in Kelowna and in the Ito family are very busy these days.

First we are trying to get Tajanna organized for College. Finding a safe place to live in Seattle, getting her student loan worked out and so on. Also our house I am going to hook my waste water to the city sewer system. A friend of mine has a small excavator. I am going to do the project with him. I will let you know how it goes. I will do it starting on Saturday. Lots of planning has had to be done for that too.

So a little skiing talk. I hope you have been working on your physical strength a little this summer. A point we are going to focus on is keeping our head, shoulders, and chest forward when we are skiing. For this we need a strong stomach and back. If you watch TV , do sit ups and back work then. You can also hold a downhill crouching position for 2 minutes while watching TV.

Bye for now!

Do IT!

August, 26 Update

Hello everyone!

Well, this past weekend was a busy one. We celebrated my 40th Birthday one Friday night! Since I was born in 1967 we had that years wear as a theme! It was fun. Many old skiing friends and others were there.

Makaiya and I went to one of those guys homes today to see his Parrot. They live for 40 years I was told. His name is Milo. Usually it does not go to new people but it sure liked Makaiya.

Enjoy the pictures.

August 15 Update

Hello Everyone,

So I did a work out last Friday. A leg work out. I did just a quick stretch after. My legs felt a little stiff the next day. Then the day after I woke up and my back was very soar. It has been bad all week. Everyday it is getting slightly better. So my lesson is that I make sure I do a good Stretch after a tough work out.

I played golf last week and shot a 89. Depending on my back I may play tomorrow. I will keep you posted!

Bye for now.

August 12 Update

Hello

Ok it is summer but why not talk about some skiing ideas. One of the important parts to fast skiing is the balance transfer from left to right. It does not take a huge physical motion. It is a slight transfer that we do in our bodies. Think about how easy it is to loose your balance on a balance board. From side to side you can fall just with a slight shift of our center of balance. Remember that when you move from one turn to another. Shift that balance.

Well it is another sunny day here in Kelowna!

It is also B.C. day and a holiday for most on this beautiful Monday.

It is also Chrissy's birthday! She is sleeping in this morning. Makaiya and I have been playing waiting for her to wake up.

Yesterday we bought some floating tubes and drifted down Mission creek. Makaiya had fun and was very relaxing for us. It took abut 2 hours to ride down. my dad picked up at the end and drove us back to our car at the starting point.

On Saturday we had a dinner over at one of my friends house. We did have quite a few drinks. I was slightly hung over the next day!

Bye for now!

Aug, 1 Update

hello!

It has been such a great summer! Dry and hot! The fore cast is for the same , clear and sunny!

Soccer was good on Monday. We won easily 5 to 2. I set up 2 goals. No goals for myself. That's ok. It is a team sport that I love about it. Great exercise too!

Oh, the golf tournament was fun! My team won the event at -6 for the round. At the party they gave us a sleeve of golf balls and red jackets! I guess it is a tradition. At the party we ate steaks, chicken , prawns, salads and of course drank too much alcohol!

I am working on a reno kitchen. It is very challenging!

Well, bye for now.

July 30 Update

Hello Every one,

it was a busy weekend. My whole family drove down to Vancouver then to Seattle Washington! We went to see Tajanna's school next year! She is going into fashion design1 The school is The Art Institute of Seattle. It is a 3 year program, and she will receive her degree after that time. it is a high priced school, but the school does have an almost 100% placement program into a job! With all of the girls together it seemed a little stressful at times. Well for Tajanna! She was just over whelmed with everything. She seemed better after she spoke to the teachers and advisers.

Well, back to work for me.

It is a long weekend for us this up coming weekend. We have made no plans though. I hope to go camping!

The pictures are of the school area in Seattle.

Bye for now.

July17 up date

Hi!

Well it was soccer night last night. I must say the best part of the game last night was the beer after. We did not play very good at all. no effort to pick those loose balls up. Pretty much out worked us. We did manage a tie. We played in the last 15 minutes. We actually could have won. . I was pulled down in the 18 yard box and our penalty kicker missed it. We have a golf tournament this Saturday, followed by a backyard party. Good for team building.

Have a good day you guys! More soon!

July 9 Update

HI!

It was a great Day! It has been so hot and low humidity here! Okanagan Lake is warming up too! Nice for swimming!

Monday is soccer night! We tied 1-1! We should have won! At the end of the game guys in the middle did not mark thier men. 3 guys were wide open and scored at easily up close to the goal. Yes, team work is vital to win. Same for skiing. We need guidance from coaches, support from team mates, a good tune up man (or have good skill yourself), And all having the vision of VICTORY! That is key! Not to just compete! Always push yourself to do your next level of Excellence! Never be satisfied!

Lets all kick butt this next season! You all can make it to your next level! See IT! Believe IT!

Bye for now!

Doug

PS This picture is of my O-Gi Chan and O-Ba Chan! They both passed away but I still think of them often. I appreciate what they have done for me and look up to them for the way they had to live during the hard years ! They wanted the best for Thier family! Just like I want the best for mine and for all of you! Always look for things you Appreciate! Every Day!

Bye for now!
